Since July, 1994 Allman Electric Corporation has used an estimating system consisting of a digitizer print board, computer modem, and electronic take off counter designed by Estimation, Incorporated.  The complete electrical estimating system is updated quarterly on contract with Estimation, Inc. and current material pricing is updated through Trade Service by tracer disk.  With the use of a laser printer the Estimation system is capable of providing a complete list of material for accurate material pricing.  Tim manages and maintains this system, and was extensively trained in house by Estimation, Inc.

In 2003, Allman Electric Corp. implemented IsqFt/AGC network into our estimation department.  This system enables us to download complete blueprints, plan addenda's specifications and track jobs throughout the complete bidding process.

Once a contract is awarded, job costs, material and labor, are tracked through labor coded time sheets and coded job purchase orders.  Total labor is subdivided by the Estimation system to correspond with AIA schedule of values and is processed weekly through another computer system using StarBuilder and tracking software.  This system is programmed and managed by Wayne Faircloth, who has worked in the electrical field with Allman Electric Corp., since 1992.  Wayne received a two year degree from Fayetteville Technical Community College for Electrical Installation & Maintenance and Computer Programming.
